“The missions in SoCal go way back to Spanish times. Nice to hike around the park as well. Laid back scene.”

“Just up the street from the airbnb is a large hiking trail that will take you through Tecolote Canyon. I've seen coyotes, foxes, raccoons, skunks, rattlesnakes and all sorts of lizards. You can make this hike as easy or difficult as you like, just ask me how.”

“great park very close by, and barely known outside the neighborhood. Huge grassy area with trees for shade, kid play area with swings and such, usually no one around. Easy parking.”

“Presidio Point is even a bit of a secret to locals & it has the most amazing views of San Diego! There are so few others that go there; it makes a romantic spot for a picnic. The entrance is near 4457 Taylor St which parallels the I-8 freeway. It's less than 5mi from the Aptmt. FYI, this is different than Presidio Park which is nearby, but has a separate entrance. Presidio Park is great & worth seeing too, but the Point is higher up so has even better views. ”
