“This is a collection of independently owned stores and restaurants all under one roof. Excellent place to find a unique international gift, please a group of people who can't agree on what kind of food they want to eat but can all sit together in the food court, or even just have a drink and people watch. This space holds frequent free, public music performances.”

“There is no shortage of breweries in the Twin Cities but Surly might be the most famous. With a great selection of beers and a massive indoor and outdoor seating area, how could you go wrong? Their food menu is also extensive and high quality. ”

“Home of the original Jucy Lucy (stuffed cheeseburger). It is a no frills kind of place with a guaranteed line out the door. It is well worth the wait for this Minnesota classic! ”

Restaurante temático
“On the Mississippi river and Marshall St NE, with an awesome outdoor patio. For groups of up to 12, you may be able to call and get same day reservations here. Make an early reservation for the patio if possible (not in the winter of course...), and request to be seated on the edge. Start the night (or morning!!!) here with dinner (BLOODIES!!!!) and drinks on the river with your group! Walk or cab along Marshall St for any number of other unique local spots to enjoy beverages and bar fare. Lots of ways to enjoy this gem. It is pretty sweet.”

“Strangely ironic 1980's American preppy decor inside and an outdoor functional Ferris wheel located near the Mississippi River in NE Minneapolis on Lowry Avenue. If you're staying in town a while, there's a cheap monthly membership. Try the deviled eggs and a drink if you aren't hungry enough for a full meal. Brunch is $16.95 and includes bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary's.”

“Minnesota has always had a large population of Scandinavians, so it’s only right to learn about the culture and eat the food, both of which you can do at the 1908 Turnblad mansion: an enormous, French Chateau-esque structure once home to Swedish immigrants. Inside its walls resides The American Swedish Institute, a museum and cultural center dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Sweden and the Swedish-American population. With a large display of art, an extensive library collection and seasonal exhibits, this Minnesota and National Register of Historic Places landmark is full of artifacts and information highlighting contemporary and historical Swedish culture. New exhibits like Amp Up! The Hagstrom Guitar Sensation and Swedes Rock! delve into Sweden’s musical history while past exhibits have had scientific and holiday themes. Stop by the museum store for unique trinkets or dine in FIKA, the onsite cafe, offering award-winning Nordic-inspired cuisine.”
