Establishment
“Dragonfly has the nicest interior design of any nightclubs in Jakarta (and even Indonesia). It has a good crowd, though almost half of the girls are hookers or semi-pros hunting rich expats. The entrance fee is stupidly expensive, Rp200,000 without a drink. Book a table to avoid this if you come with a group. Their best night is on Wednesday. They have strict door policy: Dress well and if you look young, don't forget to bring an ID.”

Point of Interest
“An art gallery is an unlikely place you would think to bring your kids for dinner. But at Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace there is a specially designed area just for the kiddos to play in. Don't forget to sample delicious home-cooked dishes, freshly made on the premises to feed the entire family when hunger strikes. Naturally, being in an art gallery, there are plenty of impressive works of art, hung high on the walls and lots of open space. Everyone wins!”

“Bored of normal dinner? Come here on Tuesday night to learn salsa because Tuesday is salsa night! Where there are some people, who learn salsa in this restaurant. From 7-9pm they open salsa class for whoever wants to join, and after nine they have live music with a salsa songs and everyone starts dancing. It was excellent and fascinating. The food is delicious, the interior design simple and you can feel the Mexican vibrant. ”

Pastelería
“The fragrant bread that had just come out of the oven spread from a bakery shop called BEAU, owned by chef pastry Talita Setyadi. Enjoy the mainstay bread, namely, Bombos, lemon zest bread with a sprinkling of sugar on its surface, then there is Vanilla Bean, Bali-Brest Eclair, and various crispy croissant bread combined with a series of homemade jam variants from BEAU. The best time to go to this place will be around 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.”

Bar
“The industrial design, complete with a brick-and-wood bar and reclaimed wood seating, outdoes the menu, which wanders from pizza to kebabs to Indonesian favourites including a Balinese duck. But still worth it for the ambience. (10am-midnight) ”
