“ The Hali’imaile General Store is located in what was once a general store for pineapple plantation workers during the 1920s. Today, it is home to one of the coziest restaurants in Maui, offering fresh American food with “Asian undertones.” The owner and chef, Bev Gannon, has used local ingredients to make the Hali’imaile General Store one of the top restaurants on Maui. Be sure to try the Sashimi Napoleon. This dish features layers of Ahi tartare, smoked salmon, sashimi ahi, crispy wonton stack and wasabi vinaigrette-to-die-for! Bev’s Chopped Chinese Chicken Salad and Coconut Fish Curry is another winner. Finish the meal with Lilikoi Brulee and Almond Brittle. If you find yourself upcountry or on the other side of the island, the Hali’imaile General Store is the perfect spot to stop for lunch or dinner. The Hali’imaile General Store is open for lunch, Monday – Friday, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, and, for dinner from 5:30 to 9:00 pm.”

“ Maui Ag-Tourism has become a major attraction for those visiting our island. One of the very first to venture into this new market, was Surfing Goat Dairies. Surfing Goat Dairies is one of two goat dairies in Hawaii. Their high quality products are featured in some of the top restaurants in Hawaii; these can also be purchased at the farm itself, or, in markets around the island. They offer three different tours, each one casual, entertaining and fun for the whole family! Their "Grand Tour" allows you to feed and milk the goats, see the cheese making process and then sample their most popular and unique products.”

“ If you ask any local on Maui where the very best place to get Malasada’s would be, they would tell you T Komoda Store and Bakery. If you aren’t familiar with Malasadas, they are Hawaii’s form of a doughnut- but better! Malasada’s are a Portuguese doughnut but without the hole. They can be filled with a variety of fillings including haupia (coconut), guava, chocolate and more. T Komoda Store and Bakery is located up country in historic Makawao Town and on any given morning you will find the line out the door of hungry customers eager to purchase their famous, warm Malasadas. A trip to T Komoda Store and Bakery is a trip worth taking.”

“Kombucha on tap, raw desserts, all around good food. This is a bar? (lol) Yes, the kind of bar I go to in my dreams. Sometimes they have live music in the evening, and everyone sits around eating good food, drinking Kombucha and socializing. Brilliant! ”
