“This café is new, and last time many of my old friends and cousins said we should meet here for a coffee and chat about old days. I enjoyed the breakfast rolls, lunch and couldn’t keep away for evening dessert and other coffee visits! The products made by the bakery team are of exceptional quality and value with something for every taste, with staple cakes and frequently changing options. You’d struggle to find better. The service from the staff is genuinely friendly (particularly towards children) and with great attention to detail – the volume of local people is evidence of this. It is definitely worth making a visit here. It is closed on Mondays.”

“A mandatory stop when visiting the peaks! Even if just for a Poncha! Specialities: “Sopa de Tomate e Cebola”, “Poncha Tradicional” Sopa de Tomate e Cebola – A strong soup for cold days at the Madeiran hills. Not just any old bowl of soup but a rich homemade style of tomatoes and onions soup with no added water, topped with slices of good rustic bread and a poached egg.”
