“You never know whether this will be just a bar or a nightclub on the weekend. But it tends to be a classy early-evening spot during the week to sit on posh British furniture in a library/study styled interior. The drinks and bartenders are highly underrated by the local scene, and this place was renovated a year or two back. Almost a secret spot because nothing is around.”

Restaurante italiano

“My absolute fave local spot that has picked up in recent years. A little pricey, but offers unique craft pizza and beer in an industrial / Brooklyn style atmosphere. My fave: Spicy Bear Pizza, and any current Nitro / Coffee Stouts.”

Karaoke bar
$$
“Do you like karaoke? If so, THIS is the place for you. Karaoke takes place 7 night a week in this fun little hole in the wall, tucked in the corner of a small strip mall. Drinks are cheap and the entertainment is free. Celebrity guest appearances are rare but not unheard of. Also, this is LA karaoke, where that terrible rendition of "Don't Stop Believin'" will be followed by a cover of "I Will Always Love You" that is so beautiful you'll wonder how the person on stage isn't making money off of their music (hint: they probably are).”

“Hip bar with really great bites (small plates that can be combined for a meal). It's a little pricey, so you might want to time your visit for Happy Hour. ”
