“Also known as the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, this 100 square kilometer area in Langkawi is a nature reserve and a collection of geo-sites full of amazing flora & fauna, and stunning geological formations like mammoth limestone rocks, fossils, caves, lagoons, beaches and seascapes. The whole area is administered and protected by the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department. It is part of the larger Langkawi Geopark and one of the biggest hot spots of Eco tourism in the entire region. You will need to take a tour on a motor boat that starts from the Kilim Jetty located at the north eastern end of Langkawi. Mountain
“This is one of the owner's favorite places in the world. The road up Gunung Raya is ~12Km long, it takes you through the various strata of tropical rain forest. Wind the windows down on your car to experience the sounds and smells of nature. The best times to go are early morning before before 9:30am and late afternoon about 6pm as you might be lucky enough to see and hear Great and Lesser Hornbills leaving or returning to their nests. On a clear day it is worth the trip any time during daylight hours. The vistas across the island at many of the parking spots give a great sense of the island. DO NOT visit during or just after heavy rain. Landslips do happen and the road isn't great.”

Sitio histórico
“Mahsuri’s Moseleum is the center of the legend of Mahsuri, the maiden who was falsely accused of adultery & executed. With her dying breath she cursed the island of Langkawi with inactivity for 7 generations. The “curse” was lifted several years ago and the sleepy island of Langkawi has started to florish. Inside are local houses said to be the original houses of the people in the Legend of Mahsuri. You can sample and buy local malay sweets desserts and batik cloth. Please visit the museum for a better understanding of the history of the island and the legends of Langkawi. Local stalls all around for those wanting to sample northern Laksa.”
