Entertainment
“La Malagueta "was inaugurated on June 11, 1876 on the occasion of a bullfight of the mythical matador Rafael Molina" Lagartijo ". Neo-Mudejar style, these arenas were built by Joaquín Rucoba, also author of the Atarazanas market. As can be seen from the Gibralfaro viewpoint which offers a spectacular panorama of the whole, the bullring has the shape of a regular polygon 16 sides. The arena itself is 52 meters in diameter. The facilities include 4 courses, 10 torils, stables and an infirmary. The Taurino Museum Antonio Ordoñez is located in its facilities. The Taurine fair, a major annual event, takes place in August and offers a vast program of bullfights entrusted to great figures of the bulls world. Also noteworthy is Picassian bullfighting at Easter, where bullfighters wear costumes inspired by the style, vision and forms of the Malagasy painter.”

“They have two branches the original one at calle Cervantes 8. 952 21 89 90. Book in advance. And a new one close to the cathedral C/ Postigo De Los Abades, 4. 952 60 23 89. I prefer the original one, but the one next to the catedral is a good option if you are downtown. Malaga traditional cuisine. I recommend ensaladilla rusa, porra, and flamenquín among others.”
