Karaoke bar

“A local expert says: This place has all the excess and novelty that makes K-town great for everybody. There’s karaoke every night, at 5 pm on weeknights, 8 pm on weekends. I embrace the liberation of occasionally being saturated with k-pop, bar food that makes me sweat, and bizarre cocktails. Bust out the AM-radio gold, all those songs your mother loved. Crosby, Stills, and Nash—maybe Carole King, Joni Mitchell, or even Steely Dan if you're feeling on top of your game.”

“Ok this one isn't walking distance...but it's the only steakhouse I go to. Ask Alex to make you a dirty martini the way James likes it; order the coulotte cut medium rare(only two cuts of these per steer), and ask the waiter to show you the booth that Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack used to sit in. Oh yeah, did I not mention this was their favorite too? This place has been around since 1947.”

“Take it from a Korean - this is the #1 Korean BBQ restaurant in Koreatown. It really doesn't get better than this for the top-of-the-line, best quality meats done Korean style. Its walls are adorned with the pictures and autographs of many celebrity visitors who also know what's up. You can't go wrong here - but one thing to know is that it's NOT all-you-can-eat (and that's a good thing), and for good reason - their cuts are simply the best. Check it out - it's about 20 minutes away from our house by Uber/Lyft! ”

“Just mentioning the because it is a neighborhood bar, reasonably priced. Made famous as a hangout of Charles Bukowski! it is a 5 min walk form my place. You might want to stop there for a couple of drinks before heading out to the more pricey trendy joints.”
