I live in a large 1905 farm house, which I am slowly restoring, 1/2 km. from the beach in the beautifully natural piece of paradise that is Karamea. Living the simply abundant life by the sea, and I welcome you to share my space. Extra mattress available if necessary.
Karamea is s small town on the north west tip of the south island of NZ. It has many attractions including the Oparara Arches, Limestone Caves, Fenian Caves, the Heaphy track as well as miles and miles of beaches and stunning nature. In town there is a supermarket, gas station/information centre, hardware store/post office and coffee shop. There is a pub across the road serving a range of meals as well as 'The Last Resort' towards town catering for all your dining needs. In my house, which was built in 1905, there are all the modern conveniences you might expect, though I don't have a traditional fridge as I use a zeer 'pot in pot' cooling system. I have an outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, and a fully productive vegetable garden and greenhouse, which you are free to enjoy.
    simplicity, beauty, nature, community.

Five minutes drive from Karamea. Easy access to the start of the Heaphy Great Walk, Oparara Arches and Karamea Beach. Rural aspect, quiet, modern and clean, fly screen on windows. Close to amenities. Great for surf casting, mountain biking, tramping,. For reviews check this property on Book a bach. Please note that linen is an additional cost at $12 per person. You will need to add this to amount paid. It doesn't do this automatically.
This is a modest 'Versatile' home. The spaces are not small but they're not BIG either. Good for singles, couples and one or 2 child families. Not really suitable for large, active teens. It's really sunny, built in the 1990's, so modern and very clean and in good order. Towels and bed linen are not included in base price but can be supplied for $12 per person. Just ask.
Small, rural community with a great traditional kiwi pub, a restaurant/ bar (Last Resort), a café with great coffee. Good surf casting, whitebaiting in the season, trout fishing, beach casting, fantastic tramping, day walking and mountain biking opportunities and a wild west coast beach. Not to mention the towering Oparara Arches, Honeywell Caves with moa bones and Haast Eagle stories!!

Tuvimos unas buenas vacaciones.
