“The Salty Dawg is a must visit when in Homer! With it's iconic lighthouse and unique interior, it's always fun to grab a drink at the Salty Dawg. You will find many people also wind up getting a t-shirt of hoody with their logo on it. ”

“The name suggests something entirely different than it is: a large bar/restaurant/music venue. Hearty food portions, large drink selection, and occasional live music. Tuesday night is Open Mic, and Thursday is Trivia Night. www.alices.club”

“Fantastic little bakery specializing in bagels, either plain or with all the accoutrements. It doesn't get much better than a bagel and lox paired with one of their coffee creations. Definitely worth the drive out East End Road to this little jewel. www.thebagelshopalaska.com”

Tienda de comestibles
“Coming from Portland, a total foody-town, we were really spoiled and worried about not finding great spots here at the end of the road - but Fritz Creek Deli and Bakery (which also doubles as a small grocery store , liquor store, video store, and post office) has some of the most AMAZING food. Not just for Alaska - but seriously gourmet food. They have some grab-n-go foods if you want to pack a picnic, you can muscle in on one of their few tables, or take it back home. They have fresh bread and a few fresh fruits and vegetables. Kalliste's favorites are the chocolate eclairs and, on Sundays only, their apple pies. Paul loves their cinnamon roles and fruit gallete. Also: BBQ pulled pork!”

“Gift shop next to the Fireweed Gallery. It's actually an artist coop, so one of the artists will probably be working the store. A very fine pace to get locally made gifts. ”
