State / Provincial Park
“The one-square-mile park is densely packed with potential adventures. On a short walk around the perimeter of the park, you can hunt for agates, explore tidepools, and walk through a jungle of shrubs and trees as you peer out at seals, sea lions, and migrating whales. In the park’s interior, you’ll find a visitor center, a native plant garden, and a reconstructed Yurok plank-house village. You can picnic or wake up to birdsong at one of three campgrounds. In summer, you can witness a traditional ceremony at Sumêg Village or take a hike led by a docent or professional naturalist. ”

“This market is right across the street from us (H and 11th). It features many local products, organic produce and other options, many cheeses, local breads, a juice bar, extensive deli with ready made meals, an espresso bar and bakery, along with a nice selection of beer and wine. We also have the Arcata Coop at 9th and I, and Safeway at 7th and F (often the least expensive option).”

“You can't visit Eureka and NOT go to Old Town! Everything good is there: shops, cafes, the boardwalk, restaurants, bars, horse carriage rides, art galleries, and historic architecture! The locals love it too! Arts Alive is the first Saturday evening of every month and you'll see art hanging in every shop and live music on every corner.”
