“Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge is awesome for hiking, biking and bird watching. The 4,053 acre refuge is conveniently accessible from US 278 between the Mainland and Hilton Head Island. It supports a diversity of bird and plant life. Jarvis Creek Park on the north end of Hilton Head (just off the cross-island) with two playgrounds, a mile-long walking trail and pavilions that you can rent for birthday parties or family cook-outs. “it's a beautiful entrance from Port Royal Plantation. Take 2nd left and then a right toward the tunnel. Right at the stop sign and then right again. Left where it says Islanders Beach. Approx 5 min from the villa. Sounds like allot of rights and lefts...do it once and got this... Security in the parking lot with cameras, parking is close to the entrance so it's not a long walk, it's very clean no trash on the ground, nice bathrooms, a gorgeous walk on the bridge with winding trees to your left and right, going to blue mat laid out for you to walk on will guide you to the powder sand... and then what you do from there you're on your own.”
