Museo de arte
“An ambitious contemporary art museum well worth checking out. The unfortunate abbreviation makes many think of sandwich topping made of pork's booty, but the only hunger you'll satisfy here is that for aesthetic revelation. Also admire the architecture of the so-called Tennis Palace housing the museum, as well a gigantic multiplex movie theatre. There was, however, never any tennis played here. Instead it was used as a basketball court in the 1952 Olympic Games. But that's another story. ”

“Hate kebab? Me too! But not this place. Their kebab comes with amazing ciabatta-ish bread from a local bakery, a delightfully creative selection of herbs (no lettuce-YASS!) and the ever so delicious apple vinegar sauce. If you've never tried kebab with wine - here's the place to. Ask for their recommendations. ”

Iglesia
“The church, completed in 1969, due to its unique architecture, is one of the main attractions in Helsinki. The church hall is covered with a dome, lined with copper and supported on the rock walls by reinforced concrete beams. The interior walls are of rugged rock and rubble wall. Before noon, the light spreads from the row of windows surrounding the roof periphery to the altar wall, where an ice-age crevice serves as the altarpiece. Due to its excellent acoustics the church is a popular venue for concerts.”

Sauna / Steam Room
“An aesthetic, low-key public sauna established in 2013. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm. Separate departments for men and women. This sauna doesn't allow swimsuits or towels in the sauna. They don't accept groups bigger than 3 people since this is a small sauna. Remember also to bring your own towel.”

Café
“Siltanen is a popular bar/club at nights with wide selection of clubs (check what's on from their site). It gets packed for weekend nights and the crowd is usually international. During the days and early nights there's a peruvian restaurant called Onda that just moved there. Hands down the best lunch and brunch in town! There's also a nice and big sun terrace during summer months. Go.”

Bay
“The park around the Töölö Bay (Töölönlahti) begins in the heart of Helsinki and there's a popular walking path circling the bay. The Winter Garden, boasting hundreds of plants, is located at the north end of the bay. Wooden villas along the shores are a reminder of Helsinki's history. ”
