“Great place to walk around and sight-see. Walk the water's edge or follow the trails to the forested interior and view some of the remaining artillery batteries on the property. This is a large park, approximately 75 hectares, and a good amount of parking. In the summer, Shakespeare by the Sea is held in the park, which is a live outdoor theater production.”

“Also known as Dingle Park, this park was donated to the City of Halifax by Sir Sandford Fleming. The dingle tower commemorates the achievement of representative government in 1758. The Dingle Tower overlooks the Northwest Arm of Halifax. Approximately a 20 mins drive.”

“Hemlock Ravine Park is 200-acre habitat with opportunities for walking, nature observation, and relaxation. The 4-km stacked loop trails offer many routes for jogging and observation of nature in all seasons. New maps and signage assist in navigating the trails. The heart-shaped pond known as Julie’s Pond was built by Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, for his mistress. (Note: Please do not feed the waterfowl.) The round white building opposite the park is a historic site but is not open to the public. ”
