“If you're making an outing to Kensington Palace or Kensington Gardens get there via this beautiful de-tour. Take a leisurely stroll down Kensington Place Gardens and turn left into the park via the gate that leads you right past Kensington Palace. A gated tree-lined street with impressive palatial embassies and private homes on either side. Known as London's most expensive street. Surprisingly quiet and tranquil spot in central London.”

“Haddon seems to be constantly in demand as a film and television location. Most recently it has been the location for the 2011 film version of Jane Eyre, starring Mia Wasikowska and directed by Cary Fukunaga. Franco Zefferelli and the BBC have also filmed versions of Jane Eyre here. One of the earliest films based at Haddon tells the romantic story of John Manners and Dorothy Vernon, Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall, starring Mary Pickford. Whilst not filmed at Haddon, the interiors appear to have been inspiration for the set designs. Haddon has also played cameo roles in Pride and Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley, and The Other Boleyn Girl featuring Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson. A favourite film amongst our visitors in the know is The Princess Bride, where Haddon was the location for Prince Humperdinck's castle. ”
