Barrio
“The laid-back German Village is known for charming brick houses built by 19th-century immigrants along Beck, Mohawk, and Deshler streets. Shops selling books, traditional fudge, and handmade jewelry mingle with art galleries, German pubs, American bistros, and artisan coffee shops. In summer, the Actors’ Theatre Columbus stages outdoor Shakespeare and other plays in Schiller Park with its fountains and flower beds. ”

Parque
“Schiller Park is a little green oasis in German Village. It's an unofficial dog park for those dogs who are great off-leash (no fencing and laws require that your dog be on a leash or within your control at all times -- please refer to the law if in doubt). In summer, Schiller Park hosts a weekly 'Shakespeare in the Park' play. There's also a playground, tennis courts, a duck pond, a circling path that's great for walking, and picnic tables for grilled or carried out food -- I recommend Jeni's Ice Cream or Brown Bag Deli for the perfect lunch!”

“A true four-star dining experience for lunch or dinner. Reservations are a must, valet parking available. This is a wonderful special event restaurant ( and it is expensive - but worth it!)”

“This legendary book store has over 30 rooms! In nice weather, it's a particularly easy walk from the Air BnB, just walk west down Sycamore and you'll see it once you hit 3rd street!”

“Open Mondays 11 AM - 9 PM, Tuesday thru Thursday 11 AM - 10 PM, Friday & Saturday 11 AM - 11 AM, Sundays 11 AM - 10 PM Head on down to Columbus’s German Village neighborhood for an authentic German experience. Schmidt’s has been around since 1967 and it only gets better with age. Featuring German classics like sausages, sauerkraut, schnitzel, and cabbage rolls, Schmidt’s really adds a ton of character to the German Village. No German restaurant experience is complete without some great German ale, though, which is why Schmid’ts has been given the “Best Beer Menu” award by the Columbus Dispatch!”

“Stauf's coffee is SO GOOD. If you are a coffee connoisseur then you should definitely check this place out. Grandview location - this was the original location and has the best coffee selection. Distance - 4.4 mi (1277 Grandview Ave) German Village Location - Get a cup of coffee here and then walk over to The Book Loft and get lost in the coolest bookstore in Columbus. There's no better way to spend a Saturday morning. Distance - 4.8 mi (627 S Third St.) Victorian Village - This is a new location for Stauf's and is in a beautiful historical building. Take your coffee down to beautiful Goodale Park and have a stroll. Distance - 2.9 mi (1334 Neil Ave)”

“I recommend the German Village location, primarily because it's next to a great spirits/cocktail bar called Curio. This place focuses on using local ingredients to make fresh, hand-tossed pizzas. Their appetizers are a little more fine-dining than expected for a pizza place and definitely add to the quality of this spot. I've eaten here a few times and yet to have something I didn't want more of.”
