“James beard award winning cocktail bar blocks away from our home. They have delicious rotating seasonal cocktails, classic favorites, and exclusive reserve cocktails to match the priviest needs. An everyday happy hour and an obviously proximity seals this cocktail spot as our favorite. ”

“Also close by on Freret street. They have the best burgers in town. Voted best burgers in Louisiana. They are a little on the juicy side but are made fresh to order in front of you in the open kitchen. Fast service. They have a popular condiment bar with multiple types of mayonnaise. Live their sweet potato waffle fries. They also have great specialty cocktails and thick shakes. ”

“ As Uptown’s newest venue for the arts we live to host live music, local art exhibitions, film screenings and recording sessions. Our goals are simple. We want to highlight the local talent that surrounds us and create a room accessible to all forms of artistic expression. As a proud member of the Freret Street neighborhood, we constantly dedicate ourselves to creating an atmosphere that reflects the evolving personality of our community. Feel free to browse through our recordings and come out to one of our events, we hope you stay a while!”

Pizzería

“ Ancora serves authentic Neapolitan pizzas and house-made salumi. They offer a great selection of wines entirely from the Campania region of Southern Italy, the birthplace of pizza. They also create hand-crafted cocktails and seasonal Italian sodas. A walk to Ancora for a Diablo pizza and a cocktail is one of our favorite ways to spend an evening.”

“I bet you didn't know that New Orleans has AMAZING Vietnamese food, did you?! And ones with vegan options!! Mint Modern has the best vegan Pho on the east bank (if you want to make your way to the westbank, I'll give you recommendations). The broth is perfectly seasoned and you can get it with tofu or extra veggies. They also make a vegan tofu Bahn Mi, but make sure to tell them you need it vegan. Otherwise, it's vegetarian. ”
