“CHURCH: Designed by Arnolfo di Cambio (1296), it is the largest Franciscan church in the world; it is also known as "Phanteon of Italian glories" for the illustrious sepulchres that it preserves in its suggestive Gothic interior. Among the more than 200 tombs stand the Renaissance monuments of Leonardo Bruni and Carlo Marsuppini. It contains masterpieces such as the Bardi and Peruzzi chapels frescoed by Giotto, the Annunciation and the crucifix by Donatello.
