“A stunning Cathedral in the City Centre. Christ Church Cathedral, originally a Viking Church, is almost 1,000 years old. It was founded circa 1028, is Dublin’s oldest working structure, and is the spiritual heart of Dublin. It is also one of Ireland’s top visitor attractions and a place of pilgrimage through the centuries. It is a must see”

“Whelans - 25 Wexford St - famed for live music and is the indie and alternative heartland of Dublin. A traditional country pub in the heart of the city, the venue has played host to such musical legends as Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave, Christy Moore and Peter Buck and Mike Mills from REM and was the mecca around which my college social life revolved. There’s a variety of different spaces behind the big facade, the intimate Parlour Bar, a big smoking area in the interior courtyard and an indie disco in the back room after gigs, whose set list has remained the same as I’ve gotten older but will always make you dance. It’s been the home of many a great night out, where just the one becomes a 3am finish. ”

“Designed by Ninian Niven in 1865, but with a history dating back over three hundred years, the Iveagh Gardens are located close to St Stephen’s Green Park in Dublin city centre. From modest beginnings as an earl’s lawn, the gardens went on to host the splendour of the Dublin Exhibition Palace in 1865. Many of the original landscape features are still in place, or have been restored and conserved since 1995. These include the yew maze, the rosarium, and the fountains. The cascade in particular is a stunning spectacle in summer. Iveagh Gardens are popularly known as Dublin’s ‘Secret Garden’.”

“Queen of Tarts is one of Dublin's most popular eating destinations, so much so the owners had to open a second location with more seating! They offer a wide variety of baked goods including Gluten Free options! You can also go there for lunch or afternoon tea. Great coffee and a really cozy atmosphere make this place one of our favorites. Plus the staff are super friendly!”
