“This is the best beach in Auckland. There are no roads along the beach only houses so it is very quiet. Great for swimming two hours either side of high tide, and at low tide you can walk out among the sand pools and see what you can spot. Walk along the beach from Bath street and up and around the mountain at the end North Head. Amazing views. ”

The Ferry service operates every half hour throughout the day from Pier 1 in the city and the Devonport terminal, but we recommend you check their timetable prior to your journey. The ferry terminal in Devonport is located at the end of Victoria Road and is serviced by several bus routes that will take you to other parts of Devonport.
