“They brew their own beers but also offer a cozy environment that doesn't get too loud. If you want to go dancing, step right down into their basement to go to Down Under for a completely different kind of experience (dancing, pool tables).”

“This is a local historic farm and almshouse complex established in 1852. It offers the opportunity to step back in time to experience rural 19th Century farm life. It's an excellent example of the Victorian Gothic architecture of the period. This is the home of the Maryland Wine Festival as well.”

“This winery a 17 minute drive. Owned by three thirty-something siblings, Old Westminster Winery has some very creative wines & cocktails. Its not your typical winery in that regard. I encourage you to visit their website & read about them. Old Westminster Winery is worth the trip...very comfy tasting room with a wide array of seating options both indoors & out. They have live music & food trucks & cheese plate offerings. ”

“Again- a dining option if you don't want to drive to downtown Frederick. (Mt Airy is ten minutes closer in opposite direction) A nice date night spot or lunch spot for outdoor seating on a beautiful day. This place has fantastic...and I'm not kidding...gourmet pizza. Their other offerings are great to. Don't leave without trying their white wine sangria....its to die for. They have outdoor seating in season. Make a reservation.”
