Book Store
“Carturesti-Carusel is one of the nicest places in Bucharest. Situated on Lipscani Street, number 55, the bookstore runs on 6 levels totaling 1000sqm. The elegant 19th-century edifice was in possession of the famous family of Chrissoveloni bankers in 1903, and during the communist era it was confiscated and turned into the Familia store. After 1990, the building was recuperated and rehabilitated by the current owner, Mr. Jean Chrissoveloni, and now lives through innovative design.”

“Beautiful royal domain with a great Lake view and huge oak trees, a palace in the Romanian architectural style of Brancoveanu and a pretty coffee shop. Sometimes they organize classical music concerts in the palace or garden (definitely recommend them)”

“Revolution Square in the Centre of Bucharest is a place with lots of history. The monuments and the buildings that you see today have been completely restored and you wouldn’t tell that some of the darkest chapters of Romanian history have been written here. ”

Night Club
“Probably the biggest, boldest and best place on Strada Smardan. A casual mix of food and drink, Freddo is something of honey pot for Bucharest's sweetest bees. Open plan with glass on three sides as well as the roof the place looks fabulous, and hosts a variety of events from party nights to top DJ sets and live music. Now get there and enjoy sound cocktails, amazing pizza and decent salads. You might want to reserve at the weekends: this place is damn popular. Even opens early for bleary-eyed coffee the next morning. Perfect.”
