“This bar / restaurant is located on Boscombe Beach and again is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a slightly more up-market restaurant upstairs which serves great food and has fantastic views or downstairs you can sit and just have drink or have something from the bar menu. Dogs are welcome here, but only downstairs.”

“Hengistbury Head- Large Car Park and Cafe. You can walk over the Head with views of the beach (harder route) or You can walk through the woodlands by the river to the Hengistbury Head Spit or take the land train. Walking takes about twenty minutes, you will see lots of people walking, dog walkers and cyclist (no cars allowed to Spit). When you reach the spit there is lots of beach huts, river on one side and the sea on the other side. Great beach and Views. Cafe the Hut is in middle, also serves meals at night but best to book. Can also Park at Mudeford and get ferry across.”

“Bournemouth beach has been a tourist attraction for a hundred years or more and is still worthy of a visit. With the world famous pier, extensive sandy beaches and views which are second to none (excluding the current blot on the landscape of an oil test rig). Bring your pennies for the slot machines and your brave smile for the zip line from the pier or listen out for the various performers and bands who bring their arts to the central square or lower gardens. There is loads to do here and frequent events in the town make it a must visit on the to do list. Buses run regularly to and from Ferndown. There is lots of parking available but it is chargeable 24 hours 7 days a week. ”

Parque
“A great place to come and chill on a lovely day with amenities nearby and close to Bournemouth town centre and Bournemouth pier. Just bring a blanket and a picnic and you'll feel like one of the locals. It's also great to walk into town from home. It takes about an hour but you'll go through coy pond which is simply lovely any time of year/season.”

“My personal favourite, located in Southbourne which is roughly 5 mins from the Annexe if you drive, or 20-25 min walk. From the outside it looks like a restaurant (never actually eaten food in here but is always busy!) but there is a secret bar upstairs. 1930s style offering a small list of cocktails all made to order, or they come up with something you may prefer instead. You have to book and cannot just turn up on the night but it is completely different to anywhere else you will find in Bournemouth! Definitely worth a visit ”
