“A rail journey from Wengen, dramatic scenery to delight; all change at the mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg. Tunnel upwards amazingly through the Eiger and Mönch, a passage hewn by pickaxe and completed in 1912. Look out of Eiger north wall and over a sea of ice. Alight at the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 metres. Standing on the Sphinx Observation Deck, the Aletsch Glacier stretches before us, a remnant of the Ice Age, hollowed out and sculpted for the Ice Palace. ‘On clear days, views extend as far as the Vosges mountains in France and Germany’s Black Forest.’* Experience a 360o panorama feature of the mountain world, visit Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven and depending on the season, hike on the glacier or ski, sledge, zipline at the Snow Fun Park. Travel:             - Tickets can be purchased online or at the train station in Wengen Train from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg (yellow train) Train from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch (red train) Journey time: 1 hour 11 minutes Features: Alpine Sensation: A 250-meter long adventure connects the Sphinx Hall to the Ice Palace and showcases the development of tourism in the Alps and the history of the Jungfrau in a series of experience alcoves. Mirador
“Jungfraujoch! The highest train station in Europe. This is a VERY crowded place to visit as it's one of the most heavily visited tourist spots in Switzerland. It's a pricey train ticket, but worth the trip if you can justify it. Many people travel from around the world solely to see the Jungfraujoch. PRO TIP: take the very first train up for the best chance of good weather and to beat the peak tourist times. ”

Castillo
“The castle is dated from 1200 and has had several different ownerships. The museum is showing the history of his past inhabitants. The exhibition gives you a good idea of how the Bernese upper class life style must have been sometimes inbetweeek the 16th and the 19th century. There is a really nice park attached to it. It is perfect for walking and lake watching. There are a few really big and old trees and the park is well maintained. (The castle closes for the winter season, closed on mondays as well)”

“Schönes altes aber gut gepflegtes Walliser Dörfchen mit herziger Brücke und Kirche. Binn ist unter Strahlern dank seinen Mineraliensteine-Vorkommen bestens bekannt. Mit dem Postauto ab Fiesch in rund 30 Minuten erreichbar.”
