Establishment
“Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre is located a short walk from the magnificent Fitzroy Falls, where water plunges over 80m (when we have had some rain) to the valley below. It’s an ideal base to explore the lush escarpment country of the Southern Highlands between Robertson and Nowra. Remember to take your binoculars if you want to birdwatch, although Lyrebirds are often spotted as you stroll along the tracks on your way to the falls (we are yet to spot a Platypus!). It can be a busy place on the weekend, so parking might be limited ($4).”

“Kangaroo Valley is a small village numbering fewer than a thousand people. The village has excellent food options, art and craft stores and just up the road, the "best pies in the world". They are excellent. The valley is beautiful with the river, swimming holes and a handful of walks. ”

“The iconic Hampden Bridge is the symbol for Kangaroo Valley. Next door to it is the interesting Pioneer Museum. If you drive up some of the side streets in KV, you will get the most spectacular views with the back-drop of our sandstone escarpment.”

“The pies are delicious and the service is - memorable - at the world's best pies. You can take away, or eat your pie and drink your milkshake out the back in the overgrown garden, looking out over the cows in the paddock next door. Get in early if you want the full selection - they frequently run out of the popular pies on busy days, and anyone who asks for an unavailable pie gets short shrift indeed! ”
