“Villa Ephrussi from the Belle Epoque period is one of the true jewels of the Côte d'Azur. The villa was built in 1912 for Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild. The Baroness filled the mansion with antique furniture, paintings, sculptures, and an extensive collection of rare porcelain. There are nine gardens on the estate, each in a different style. They are classified by the French Ministry of Culture as the Notable Gardens of France. The villa is also the location of the annual summer Opera Azuriales festival. The MIP in Grasse is quite large but it is interisting to complete your tour with a visit (free - about 30 minutes ) of (very close) : - Usine historique Fragonard, 20 bd Fragonard - a tiny museum of Costume Provençal, 2 rue Jean Ossola, - a small museum of paintings (Collection jean-Honoré Fragonard), 14 rue jean Ossola.
