Restaurante africano
“So: this place is a mess! But it is a delicious experience: specialized in Moçambique food, the meals come in portions for at least 2 people for an amazing price. The staff are very kind and help you to decide what to order but be aware that they might take hours to get your order or serve your table, if they do not forget about it. It is one of this places to go for a whole afternoon or at evening before party and enjoy the small tables at the street, with lots of patience! ”

Restaurante portugués
“For the traditional Portuguese Tasca experience- uncomplicated, cheap, not overly trendy, over the top portion sizes, and great traditional food. Don't expect great service, but expect being surrounded by locals and eating/drinking very well for very little. ”

Tienda gourmet
“Lovely shop if you're a fan of canned sardines, and other fish specialties. They pack your can's by hand and it's very lovely and cute. Great people there, and the sardines are delicious! It will be hard to choose from the range they have available.”

Restaurante japonés
“CUISINE: Japanese • This is my favourite local Japanese restaurant. Although they also serve sushi, my favourite dishes are the more traditional Japanese meals. Yuko Yamamoto, a Japanese based in Portugal for more than a decade, goes far beyond sushi and extends to traditional Japanese dishes made with the seasonal products. Famous are the takoyaki (fried octopus balls), the salmon zukedon (salmon marinated over sushi rice) or the ika somen (squid sashimi). Try it out! :)”

“This space is all about traditional Portuguese products, as a restaurant and shop. It offers specialties from different parts of Portugal, especially from the Azores islands. For meals there's a good list of appetizers and "petiscos" ("tapas"), as well as fish and meat dishes. It's also possible to sample the traditional canned Portuguese fish.”

Foro musical
“On a good night, walking into A Baiuca is like gate-crashing a family party. It’s a special place with fado vadio (street fado), where locals take a turn and spectators hiss if anyone dares to chat during the singing. There's a €25 minimum spend, which is as tough to swallow as the food, though the fado is spectacular. Reserve ahead.”

Restaurante italiano
“A really nice place at Mouraria which is a charming neighbourhood in the city centre. One of my favourite places to have a delicious pizza or pasta.”

“The aim here is for you to forget a little of everything – the city, the trip, yourself
– and enter the new experimental world of Garagem’s plays, at Teatro Taborda (Taborda Theatre). Afterwards, sit at one of the tables of the popular Café da Garagem (Garagem’s café) and you will have an amazing view over Lisbon: you can have some appetizers or order a salad or a toast.”
