“The place is just amazing and the food is delicious. It is a bit more expansive but it's totally worth it. During the day the view might be more enchanting and they have a good brunch menu.”

“This is one of the most romantic spots in Lisbon. It's a landscaped terrace next to a small church of the same name, offering a beautiful panoramic view of the city's oldest district, Alfama. The dome of the National Pantheon, Santo Estêvão Church and São Miguel Church stand out among the sea of rooftops below, while the vines that climb up the pergola provide shade on the upper level. The lower terrace allows you to stay in the sun by a reflecting pool. At the center of the bougainvillea garden is a bust of Lisbon historian Júlio de Castilho, and behind it are two tile panels -- one illustrating St. George's Castle being taken over from the Moors in 1147, and the other showing Comércio Squa”

“The Lisboa cathedral was built on the site of an ancient mosque. One of Lisbon’s icons is this fortress, built in 1150 on the site of a mosque soon after Christians recaptured the city from the Moors.”

“So: this place is a mess! But it is a delicious experience: specialized in Moçambique food, the meals come in portions for at least 2 people for an amazing price. The staff are very kind and help you to decide what to order but be aware that they might take hours to get your order or serve your table, if they do not forget about it. It is one of this places to go for a whole afternoon or at evening before party and enjoy the small tables at the street, with lots of patience! ”

“For the traditional Portuguese Tasca experience- uncomplicated, cheap, not overly trendy, over the top portion sizes, and great traditional food. Don't expect great service, but expect being surrounded by locals and eating/drinking very well for very little. ”

“Lovely shop if you're a fan of canned sardines, and other fish specialties. They pack your can's by hand and it's very lovely and cute. Great people there, and the sardines are delicious! It will be hard to choose from the range they have available.”

“CUISINE: Japanese • This is my favourite local Japanese restaurant. Although they also serve sushi, my favourite dishes are the more traditional Japanese meals. Yuko Yamamoto, a Japanese based in Portugal for more than a decade, goes far beyond sushi and extends to traditional Japanese dishes made with the seasonal products. Famous are the takoyaki (fried octopus balls), the salmon zukedon (salmon marinated over sushi rice) or the ika somen (squid sashimi). Try it out! :)”
