“Snowy Range Ski Area is a small, affordable ski area located in the Medicine Bow National Forest. They offer skis, poles, boots and snowboard rentals/packages. Their rental and repair shop offers tune-ups, hot wax, and hot wax with edge along with minor and major repairs. Located about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on route, from the Little Cabin. It's about 5 miles above the little town of Centennial, Wy where you can stop for lunch or dinner after a morning or a day of skiing Check their website for days and hours of operation. ”

“Night Heron is a lovely place, filled with a calm, relaxing atmosphere and a definite local favorite! Just like Sweet Melissa's, the owner of Night Heron books lives on Cedar Street as well! This is also a used book store, so be sure and find a treasure to read while on vacation! Local art is normally on display as well. ”
