Fantastic location! 5 min to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, cafe+nightlife, trains to Manhattan. Dishwasher, microwave, laundry + coffee/tea included.

El lugar

A beautiful apartment in a hip Brooklyn neighborhood! We live on a tree-lined street above the Botanical Gardens (largest collection of Bonsai outside of Japan!) and are 5 min away from several direct trains to Manhattan. Start the day with fresh ground coffee and a stroll through Prospect Park, spend a day in Manhattan, and enjoy a late night on the Franklin Ave's (affordable) hipster dives and live music venues.

Disponible para huéspedes

24 hour access to building, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.

Atención a los huéspedes

Otros aspectos destacables

There is no living room for guest use: the bedroom and kitchen are spacious and can be used as common areas. Please do not bring overnight guests. Please be respectful of noise level in the evening. The bed is a queen. PS: we have no curtains on windows, so if you like to sleep in pitch dark, we recommend a sleep mask.

This was an amazing place! It's down the street from the Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, and the subway. It's also close to so many restaurants. Dasha and Giacomo were extremely nice and welcoming. Giacomo greeted us and even offered us to use whatever he had in the kitchen or bathroom. We felt right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and safe! I'd recommend this airbnb to anyone.

Dasha and Giacomo were very welcoming hosts. They offered suggestions of things to do during my stay and I appreciated that because I wouldn't have experienced those things otherwise. The room is really large and bright. The pictures don't show this, but a couch was added to the bedroom and makes it very comfortable to spend time in. I felt safe walking in the neighborhood and it was nice to have a park so close.

Giacomo was a kind and courteous host. (I didn't get to meet Dasha, as she was out of town during my stay.) The apartment is clean and comfortable. Dasha is an artist, so it has a very artsy bohemian vibe (art on the walls, etc.) I was made to feel welcome immediately upon arrival. The bedroom is quite spacious by NYC standards. There is an air conditioning unit in the window and a couch in the bedroom. The bed is a mattress on the floor, but it was comfortable enough. The building has laundry access and there is a really great deli across the street. The neighborhood is pretty good. It's right across the street from the Botanic Gardens and is in close proximity to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. There are an abundance of restaurants and bars a short walk away. Note that if you drive a car, parking is not easy in this neighborhood. There were several days I had to find a parking garage for a few hours during street cleaning (which occurs a total of 4 or 5 days a week). Most people don't bring cars to NYC, so I'm sure this isn't going to be a problem for most of you, but I did want to mention it. If you are coming to Brooklyn, then I very much recommend staying with Giacomo!

We slept well in Dasha and Giacomo's very clean, spacious spare bedroom (the room was HUGE, even for New York standards!). Prior to our arrival, communicating with them was easy. They were flexible with our arrival time and gave us some nice tips about the neighborhood. Location is great - directly across the street from Prospect Park and near the subway. We'd be happy to stay here again next time we're in Brooklyn.

Very nice and interesting young couple. My stay was a quick one nighter, arrived late, left early. The room was comfortable but basic and met my needs. I would stay with them again.

Dasha was so nice and accommodating. She was also quick to respond and let me book the same day since I needed something/somewhere fast. Her apartment was beautiful and clean, just like the photos. I would recommend her place. ☺

Hi! Ciao! Hola! Tere! Privet!
We are Dasha and Giacomo- an art writer and an engineer- living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Estonia and Italy, we have spent several years as nomads migrating in and out of Beijing, Milan, Chicago, Budapest and Russia. We understand how important is a clean space, warm bed, and fresh hot coffee in the morning to fellow travelers, whether suffering from jet lag or cruel airline luggage regulations. We welcome you into our home!
English does not have to be the lingua franca- between us, we speak Mandarin, Russian, Estonian, Italian, French, Spanish ( and Giacomo speaks computer languages too).
When at home, we are clean and enjoy cooking, listening to records and playing the guitar. We have a large old map, art and book collection from around the world.
NYC is a fantastic, enormous city. We will gladly share our experiences on places to go and see on a budget and on a time constraint.
We live at an intersection of several cool neighborhoods, but our favorite thing about living here is the Botanical Garden, where we go almost daily for a stroll (opens at 8am). Sometimes exotic birds fly over and sing on our fire escape.

When out and about NYC, Dasha is most likely at an art openings in a gallery, and Giacomo is seeing an experimental music show.

We look forward to meeting you!
