A short walk to Ponsonby Road and across the road from Grey Lynn Park my cosy bungalow is a great base to either sit back and relax or move around and explore Auckland and its beautiful surrounding islands and beaches.
This three bedroom bungalow is nearly one hundred years old, with plenty of character and a lovely backyard garden and semi-covered patio.
There are three bedrooms, each with queen size beds, wardrobes and plenty of space for storage and to move around. The master bedroom has a sun room for extra space to relax and the adjacent bedroom has a bay window that over looks the front yard.
The house is well insulated and has gas heating throughout the house and eco panel heaters that are located in the bedrooms.
In the kitchen there is a gas stove top and oven for cooking or microwave if you prefer. I work in the food industry as well so am happy to provide a range of cereals in the morning for your breakfast along with proper stove-top espresso coffee.
The bathroom is spacious and includes a shower and a separate beautiful old claw bath.
There is fast fibre broadband WIFI connection with unlimited metering so you don't need to worry about limiting your use. There are also bluetooth speakers in the lounge so you can play your music wirelessly, and the Panasonic 48" tv is a smart tv with subscriptions to Netflix and Lightbox. You can also cast your own programmes via the Apple TV.
If you have a car, there is also plenty of on-street parking which is free 24/7.

The house is a 25 minute walk to central city, waterfront and ferries. Almost directly outside the house you have two buses heading into the city - the 010 which goes to Wynyard Quarter and the 030 which goes to Britonmart. Bus rides into the city take 10mins.
Behave in the house as you would want others to behave in your house.
There are no pets.
Smoking is okay outside of the house on the back deck.
I'm a kiwi, originally from Wellington but now living in Auckland since 2011. Prior to moving to Auckland I lived in London and in Madrid for a number of years and also traveled extensively throughout South America and Europe.
I joined Airbnb towards the end of 2013 when I used it to book a room for a short-trip to Melbourne. I was inspired by the ease of the booking process and the ability to customize my holiday experience to live in a character house in a fun and vibrant suburb. I later decided to start renting out one of the spare rooms in my house so I could experience the other side as a host and participate further in the Airbnb community.
