A cozy Japanese-style room located along a small shopping street near Neyagawa Station.
40 minutes to Umeda.
45 minutes to Gion, Kyoto.
The house is filled with Japanese handmade crafts which the owner's grandfather made.

El lugar

The room is a single Japanese-style room located on the second floor. The size of the room is about 9.6㎡, which is a typical Japanese size for a twin room.
The house has 3 guestrooms on the 2nd floor, a kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room on the first floor.

Disponible para huéspedes

On the 2nd floor, guests are allowed to enter only their own rooms.
The 1st floor is the common space except for the storage next to the living room.

Atención a los huéspedes

I live in Osaka city and I don't usually stay at the house, but the owner of the house, Ayami, lives a few blocks away from there and takes care of the guests.
She is now learning English and would love to talk with the guests too!
And she can teach simple tea ceremonies, calligraphy and dressing kimono as well.

Otros aspectos destacables

It's an old Japanese house and some parts are renovated but some parts are really old. We always keep cleaning the room but it might not look really clean just because of the oldness.

Room was clean and appealing. Having its toilet broken, forced to go downstairs to a share one. It should be listed that AC while available, comes with an extra charge per day. Neighborhood is safe and people friendly. However, place entry not very appealing.

It is a nice place to stay in. However, due to the apartment is above the shophouse, you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the room. Thus those with difficulty with climbing stairs have to take note of this .

The Appartment is located in a quiet shoppingstreet and it seems as If it was a Shop as well some years ago. But it is very clean. Altough we did not meet Tockey, it is a Good and fast communication. The Interieur is a bit oldfashion but its everything available for your Stay. Maybe it could be mentioned, that the room has no Window. The connection to Osaka Or kyoto is Good and the Station is near.

Hi, I'm Tokie.

I was born and grew up in Osaka,
and I live in Osaka for more than 90 % of my life.

I have lived in Australia and Sweden before and traveled in Europe, North and Central America and South East Asia.

Now I live in Tenjinbashi and Tenma area, which is the best local area in Osaka.
Tenjinbashisuji has the longest shopping street in Japan, where we can find cheap and good stuff and it's the best place to hang out.

Now I work as an English teacher and a tour guide in Osaka.

I love to meet local people when I travel because I can learn more about the country and people.

I'd love to show you around in my city and I can offer these activities as well in Osaka,

Market tour
Cooking class
Stone seal craft
Pottery class
Tea ceremony
Tea field trip
Farming Experience
Flower arrangement
Manga lesson
Wagashi (Japanese sweets) making
Martial arts class

and so on !!

Please let me know what you would like to see and try in Osaka and Japan,
and hope you'll have a great time while traveling in Japan :)
