Fully renovated 1860 house in Dutchess County, 2 miles off the Taconic, in the historic hamlet of Beekmanville. 5 acres of property bisected by the Fishkill Creek, huge patio, fire pit, & wood-burning stove.

No car? For a $50 cash fee, I'll pick your group up at the Pawling Metro North station, take you to the local grocery store, & drop you back at the station at the end of your stay. I can do this for a maximum of 4 guests. 6-8 guests = $85 fee, as I will need to hire a second driver.

El alojamiento
Located in the hamlet of Beekmanville, with its 7 historic houses and an old stagecoach stop nestled close to the road from the days when horses and buggies were all the transportation people used.

The house has wooden floors with wide planks, exposed hand-hewn beams, plenty of light, and lots of rustic charm.

Available for short- or long-term rental. There are three bedrooms in total: one downstairs with a full-sized bed, and two upstairs, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Comfortably sleeps 9, if one person stays on the couch, and another on my twin air mattress. However, there is an extra fee for extra guests beyond 6. There is one bathroom with both a standing shower and a separate tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with All-Clad pans, sharp knives, and spices galore. The large patio, accessible through the sliding French-style doors in the dining room, has both a gas BBQ and a fire pit. The living room also has a wood-burning stove, which is very cozy in the winter. The house sits on 5.5 acres, and the Fishkill Creek bisects the backyard.
The house has WiFi and two televisions with Roku boxes — already set up with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Youtube, and more. There is basic cable television. There is a Verizon cell phone signal booster inside the house. Sprint has service here without it.

Acceso para huéspedes
Stays longer than 60 days require a conversation first. :)
Guests who book for more than 30 days MUST have the house cleaned once/month. The fee for this is $85 per cleaning, which will be charged in cash each month.

All guests will have full use of the house including kitchen amenities such as spices, oils, butter, etc., as well as keyless entry with a coded door lock, and plenty of local information and help.

The house has beds to accommodate 8 people: 2 on the queen, 2 on the full, and 4 in four twin beds (the 4th requires an additional setup and advance notice). Additionally, for $10 extra per person per night after 4 guests, you could add one or two people on a twin air mattress (provided) and one person on the couch for a maximum total of 9 people. Just be aware that, like most houses, the water comes from a hot water tank and you'll have to space out showers for that many people accordingly as the hot water supply is finite, and there is just one bathroom, a common characteristic of very old houses. :)

Otros aspectos destacables
I live in this house part-time, but can stay in my down-county apartment for as long as you would like to stay here, whether it is a short- or longer-term rental.

The house has beds for 8 people, two sharing a queen, two sharing a full, and 4 twin beds. Additionally (for $10 extra per person, per night after the first two guests) there is room for one more on my twin air mattress.

Please note that there is one bathroom; the shower and the tub are in the same room.

When I'm not in France -- which is where I go whenever I get the chance and always stay Air BnB when I do! -- I split my time between this house and my down-county apartment with my husband. I work as a high school English and French teacher, and coordinate the International Baccalaureate program at my school. I have owned this house since 2000, and have loved the renovation process, doing most of the work myself every step of the way. This 1860 home, which originally belonged to the town miller, needed a new roof, windows, siding, foundation, bathroom, kitchen, landscaping, patio, you name it. It's been a labor of love and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I hope you do too!
