This Victorian building is well designed as it was built especially for the bank with suitable accommodation for the manager and his family as their home in 1893. In those days the Bank Manager was an important position and the accommodation provided was of a very high standard, spacious and comfortable by the standards of the day. The bank manager and his family occupied the premises from 1893 onwards. Records show they had a live-in domestic servant. The bank commissioned the architect Vincent Craig who was the younger brother of the first Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. The building was constructed by H&J Martin who later went on to build the Belfast City Hall. Today there are no servants! You are invited to stay and experience a little of what the bank manager and his family experienced over 120 years ago!
After the bank abandoned the building during the recession it lay empty and neglected for a number of years going steadily into decline. Thankfully it has now been totally refurbished and and improved and has once again returned to its original use as a family home.
Food is not allowed in the bedroom. There is a reception area on the ground floor where food may be consumed.
The shared bathroom is large and has a power shower, sink, WC and the original Victorian roll top bath. There are two additional separate toilets on the next floor also.

I like to travel abroad and I also spend a great deal of time in London and Ireland. My interest is in conservation and interior design and art. My friends who have stayed with me have encouraged me to open up my home to visitors and share my space.
As someone who travels a lot there is always a shortage of quality accommodation at affordable prices and so being part of a sharing community makes me feel I am helping meet the needs of others. It amazing to think how Airbnb has helped thousands of people like me share our spare rooms, millions of rooms worldwide!
