The place you will lay your head is actually a nice futon that folds out and sleeps two. (We do have another couch that can be used for the right situations as well.) The futon is in a room that has a separate entrance from outside and access to the kitchen, bathroom and living room.
This is a hundred-year-old, sweet little farm house on the north side of Stevens Point, not too hard to find from the highway (39/51).
My wife, our dear daughter (born March 2017) and I live here along with Buster Baxter Brown, our Australian Shepherd/Cocker Spaniel four-legged friend. If you have a pet, it should be alright, but let's chat first to make sure this is going to work for everyone.
I'm active and accordingly am outside a lot. There is tons to do near my house...snowboarding, XC skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, walking, skating, all that. And more.
The small city (Stevens Point) is a quick 15 minute bike ride away or a 5 minute drive along the river (unless you would prefer to take the highway). We have another city within 30 minutes of here (Wausau) and between the two you won't have any trouble finding your standard city-bound amenities.
I've got a rather tight network of friends, so if you are looking for some aspect of life that I haven't touched on...chances are we can get you set up.
I may even be able to show you around a bit if you catch me at the right time.
