The house was an ancient barn of which it still maintains the original structure, with its floor in “cotto”. In all seasons you can enjoy the light of the sun thanks to its southern exposition.
The house is situated in a quiet and sunny position, nex to the small village of Aquilea, on the hill in the North of Lucca.
In front of the house there is a large terrace where you can relax, sunbathe and enjoy the panoramic view. The swimming pool, situated next to the house, has been built where once there was a cistern to collect water.
From there, you can easily reach famous places of turistical, historical and cultural interest.
The hills around Lucca are wonderful for the presence of woods, olive trees and vineyards. Medieval suburbs, ruins of castles, towers and fortifications that show its history also characterized by territorial debated, battles and mythical legends.
Lucca, initially Etrusca, then Roman colony, Lucca was in the alto medioevo, center of a dukedom longobardo and subsequently of the Tuscany Marchesato. Its the most expansion was during the XII century. The Roman circle walls were replaced with a new surronded building, already completed from 1260.
