This condo is the only one in the complex with a traditional "pune" or daybed on the lanai. It is double-bed sized and perfect for whale or sunset watching, napping, reading or even eating. In the remodel, a wall was removed to provide more light and spaciousness.

This is a complex with excellent security, beautiful grounds (about to become more so!), and a lovely oceanside pool with chaise lounges. There are large BBQ grills on the big lawn, and a path that takes you to nearby beaches. There are washer/dryers in the next building.
It would be appropriate for a couple with a young child too.

If you're looking for easy access to empty beaches, quiet everything, and simple comfort, this location on the west side of Molokai has everything you need to chill out. Paula's directions and tips were extremely helpful in taking the guesswork out of our short staycation (first timers from Oahu). The unit itself is clean, complete, and simply and tastefully decorated. Basic amenities were provided (shampoo/conditioner, Q-tips, antacid, spices and condiments, etc.) Bose speaker system (fits iPhone 6/7), beach chairs/mats, snorkels, DVDs/TV. The daybed on the lanai is a nice touch for navel- and ocean-gazing. We thought about staying in Kakaunakai Town for convenience and access to sites, but we have no regrets setting up home base for the west side. Since there's virtually no traffic on Molokai, driving to the north (Kalaupapa) and east sides (Halawa) were a pleasure and stress-free. The beaches on the west side are generally not so great for swimming due to the powerful shore break and rip currents. It was the end of summer (Sept.) with a little pulse in swell, but we had no problems swimming at Kepuhi beach. It was best to go in at the northern end, where there is a break in the rocky reef and is a bit more protected by the point. (Keep in mind we are experienced ocean-goers/surfers, so for those who aren't strong swimmers, or gets nervous with waves: if in doubt, don't go out!) Stock up well before heading west as pickings are slim out there. We grabbed basic groceries in town (Kakaunakai), organic fruits/veggies from Kumu Farms, and local, grass-fed beef from Molokai Livestock Co-op for the communal grill. Again, Paula's tips cover all of the options. Mahalo plenty and we'll be back!

We had an amazing time in this wonderful space. This was a DIVINE way to experience Molokai. Paula was a great host and her place was incredibly grounding to spend time in on our vacation. We cannot wait to return!

Paula's place is amazing. Great view and all the necessary amenities! We loved watching the sunsets on the lanai, the day bed was great for reading in the late afternoons. The bed was comfy, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Check the kitchen before heading to the grocery store, there are some spices, condiments etc We would definitely stay at Paula's place again!

We loved it. Quiet, private, clean, comfortable--with the extremely welcome discovery of enough items in the pantry and fridge to throw together a meal our first night, since we were too tired to think about groceries. Paula's place was unique in our experience in that there are no glass windows to "close"-- the screens and shutters kept any insects at bay, but unlike other resorts with ac for white noise, you will always have bird song and the sound of the surf. We loved that, but others should take note if that is not their style. Paula has a very complete folio of tips and suggested activities. We walked all of the beautiful beaches near the condo, drove the whole island, and fell in love with Molokai. Mahalo, Paula, and we hope to return soon!

What a wonderful week to bask in balmy Molokai in late December. Reclining on the balcony porch bed was simply delicious, whether with morning tea, a good book, or an afternoon beer. We love Molokai's native pace and wild loveliness and her place is just wonderfully situated on the temperate side of the island, walking or short driving distance to many points of interest and beauty.
