Private 2-room suite in half a historic "shotgun" style house. Only 2 blocks to the new Rampart/St.Claude Ave Streetcar line, 5 block walk to the French Quarter, 2 blocks to the Marigny, near Frenchmen Street, central location in an eclectic, authentic, transitioning "up & coming" urban area.
This two-room suite is the ideal starting point for taking in everything New Orleans has to offer. Only 2 blocks to the new Rampart/St.Claude Ave Streetcar line. A private entry door leads into your own living room, bedroom and bathroom -- like having your very own apartment!

I offer secure and key-less entry from both the street through a side gate and into your unit, using your very own personalized programmable code. Relax at an outdoor patio area outside your door and inside the gates.

If available, I always love showing people around my exciting city. Of course, you are also free to enjoy your adventures on your own.
Otros aspectos destacables
The historically Creole and African-American "South 7th Ward" is centrally located and walking distance to many attractions, including the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, St. Claude Ave, and the CBD (downtown Central Business District).
The area is in the midst of a renaissance with many homes under renovation and restoration, but like any urban neighborhood using common sense goes a long way. Though I've never had any problems, I recommend using taxis or Uber at night to avoid any potential issues.
You are likely to encounter many interesting characters and friendly neighbors sitting on their "stoops" chatting and sometimes playing music. I know all the neighbors on my street, and most are born-and-raised, multi-generational New Orleanians who are great to talk with if you'd like to get to know some locals.

I am an artist/musician/cartoonist and my office is the in the heart of the historic French Quarter. Formerly an animator in TV/Film, I returned to New Orleans in 2009 and enjoy sharing the city's unique culture, "off the beaten path" locales and fascinating, quirky, history with visitors. I've traveled extensively through the US, Mexico, Europe and SE Asia, and am always glad to share stories/tips with fellow travelers.
