We only stayed at Pao's place for the evening as we arrived early evening and left very early the next morning so unfortunately we weren't able to experience the wonderful breakfast others have expressed. We were grateful for the air conditioning in the room, it did help with a better night's sleep. The little we were able to see of the neighborhood, it looked very cool and a fun place to explore. It could be a bit noisy, but Pao did have ear plugs which were very much appreciated. Pao kindly helped arrange transportation to the airport which cost less then our trip from the airport to his place so that was a nice surprise.

We really enjoyed our stay. Pao is very hospitable and kind and really does the most to make sure his guests have a pleasant stay. He even offered to teach us to learn to cook after we expressed our interest in a class. The location is a bit hard to find at first, but once you do, it's not difficult and you will enjoy it. It was a great location for our last few days in Thailand as it is so close to the airport, but do note that if you'll be spending a lot of time in the city center, it can take a little bit longer of a commute or a little more expensive cab to commute back and forth. I think it'd still be worth it to stay somewhere more unique and because of the great hospitality provided. We especially appreciated breakfast being included as is was delicious and very generous. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay at Pao's place just as all the other reviews stated. breakfast was incredible (be sure to come with an empty stomach) and the views from the balcony were lovely. Highly recommend if looking for the genuine sort of countryside Thai experience.

Very unique setting with wonderful hosts. Nuch replaced a complimentary breakfast for dinner as we would not be there in the morning. And she helped us carry our bags to the taxi she arranged for us to catch at midnight! We will be back! Thank you!

This is my second time staying at Pao's place- it's my favorite place to stay in Bangkok! Located on a canal in a gorgeous reclaimed wood building, tucked behind a local market, with cute guestrooms above a lively & lovely cafe- what more could you want? Pao is a wonderful host, super helpful with things like train tickets or taxi rides to the (conveniently nearby) BKK airport; he'll also feed you a yummy breakfast and introduce you to his adorable cats! Stay at Pao's, you'll love it!

I'm glad I chose Pao's place for my last few days in Bangkok. The place was very scenic, I just loved sitting by the water and watching boats pass by. Pao is very respected by the community for his innovative work he's done in the old market. There's markets near by, so you won't get bored! And I've had one of the best massage at a place Pao took me. Thanks to Pao and his crew at the Hua Takhe Guesthouse.

This was an AMAZING place to stay...not to be missed! Pao was such a wonderful (URL HIDDEN) kind and helpful! His cafe is out of this world beautiful...the food was great as well:):):) My room was clean and comfortable! Very soft sheets and pillows! My favorite part was sitting outside on my room's porch (and on the bench down in the cafe) with all the plants and wind (URL HIDDEN) peaceful! I can't wait to return to Bangkok...simply for the fact I want to stay a few days at Pao's place!!!
