A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the stunning environment, modern comfort and arty flavor. Handy to beach, walks, characterful Lyttelton village and Christchurch city, it is a great base for exploring. Above all it is a peaceful and safe place to rest.
This simple and effective space provides all most travelers need in a single studio that includes a kitchen. There is a separate bathroom. The spacious deck is great for dining al fresco and enjoying the views. The host is available in house above and may be able to help with specific requirements.
Disponible para huéspedes
Your space is completely separate from the house and will be yours alone.
It is best suited to those with their own transport although guests without a car have enjoyed walking and using buses. Parking is on a small no exit street with little traffic.
For those without transport there is a regular bus service 20 mins walk away from Lyttelton to town and a less frequent bus from 5 mins down the hill. These buses go to the central bus exchange where you can transfer to buses to the airport - or anywhere. Shuttles from the airport can cost over $60 and will take time dropping others off en route. Taxis will not be much more and are worth it for 2 or more people.
Atención a los huéspedes
You will be the only guests. Your hosts will be available when home, and contactable by phone or email at other times. There will be a local person available if the host is away.
Otros aspectos destacables
The TV accesses national and local free to air channels.
Speakers are available for your digital music
The wireless internet copes with most needs but varies and can be slower at high use times for the area. There is no fiber or ultra-fast broadband here yet. It generally copes well with emails and web browsing but is not suitable for high demand activities such as working on line or large downloads or uploads. There is free internet at the Lyttelton library and internet cafes nearby.
Simply treat the place as if it was your own, doing your own dishes etc. Friendliness and respect is appreciated.
I am a well travelled professional who enjoys meeting new people and can also leave you alone. I love getting into the outdoors in various ways - skiing, tramping, cycling, kayaking. I also enjoy city life - cafes, theatre, music, galleries etc. Recently I have joined an amateur orchestra and taken up pottery to develop my artistic side. Mindfulness practices and environmental concerns are important in my life.
