We purchased in this particular area because the beaches are THE BEST and we love the energy of South Kihei. We chose Maui Banyan because it has condos that are all on one level (no staircases within the unit which make for narrow living spaces, and tend to negatively impact the togetherness of the group), it is one of only 3 concrete constructed vacation rentals in the area (as opposed to wood frame) which provides superior soundproofing both from neighbours and traffic, and it has the best ammenities for our family (many local complexes do not have hot tubs, covered poolside cabanas with tiki torches and a 24 hour front desk and security, for example). We chose Unit F102 because we really value being close to the ocean. This unit is the closest that we could get in Maui Banyan, and a well thrown stone could hit the beach (not recommended :) When we want to go to the beach it is literally steps away and we love that. We can sit out on the lanai and hear the waves crashing on the beach and that is amazing too! Please note that if you are someone who will be bothered, while outside (inside is quiet) by passing cars, either visually or aurally, please do not rent our condo. We want you to absolutely love being here, as we do, and if that is something that will bother you, than this condo would not be the best choice. When we sit on the lanai, all we see is the ocean and all we hear are the waves; thankful to be in paradise for as long as we are lucky enough to be able to stay. The cars come and go, but they are immaterial. If you are not oriented the same way, may I suggest a courtyard unit. You may lose ocean view and possibly gain pool view but you will not see or hear cars. Our condo is located in one of the two low-rise buildings at the front of the property, which was also appealing to us, as opposed to being in the larger towers which are less child-friendly due to the elevators etc. Our little one can just walk out the door and can toss the frisbee around just steps from our door.

You will have the use of the entire condo. There are a few owner lock-off areas such as the linen closet, one third of the closet in the second bedroom, the back cabinets on the island and two lockers on the lanai. Tampering with those locked areas will result in the full forfeiture of your damage deposit.

Hi! I am available during your stay by email, and will generally be able to respond same day or next day. I do have a busy family and work life, and do not enjoy being hard-wired to my phone, so please be patient. If it is urgent, I can be reached by phone at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), but please reserve that for things that can't wait such as a lock-out or a burst pipe. Please treat my home as you would like your home treated. Please remove shoes and sand before entering and please lock doors, pull blinds, turn off all lights and turn off (or down) the A/C before heading out for the day. Electricity costs in Maui are the highest in the country and your respect helps keep costs manageable for future guests. Thank you and Aloha!
Please practice aloha during your stay. You will be able to tell upon arrival that I try to make everything perfect for your stay. The condo will be very clean, linens fresh with special touches, well equipped kitchen and pleasing decor, furnishing and finishes. If something is not absolutely perfect, please refocus on everything that is. Both you and I will enjoy your stay to the fullest if you have a `half full' attitude while on Maui and if something important is really not right, it would be my pleasure to try and remedy that for you. All WiFi issues are to be resolved with the front desk as they provide the service. Building quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. This is not a party-type building so rowdy groups need not apply.
Guests are expected to observe the posted rules, to refrain from smoking in the unit or on the lanai (outdoor areas provided), and to treat the condo is a respectful manner. Sand belongs at the beach and there are showers everywhere to help with that. Pets are not permitted. Most of all, live with aloha and have a wonderful time.

I am a Mom of 5 who enjoys travelling and hosting travellers. My husband and I have been running vacation rentals on Maui since 2010 and have wonderful guests, 60% of whom are repeats and referrals. Our condo is in the moderate price range of Kihei Vacation Rentals, and we offer new furnishings and high end finishes, free WiFi, parking and North American calling, lots of free gear to use, and all with an ocean view. My greatest joy in hosting is in working with guests who appreciate all of the little touches that we have provided to make your stay magical. We love our guests and encourage travelers to stay with us who are people who approach life with gratitude and appreciation, and have a `half full' approach, as we do.
