Welcome to our home! The space available is a beautiful 750+ square foot apartment (mother-in-law suite) in a lake home in a residential neighborhood: 1 bedroom, full kitchen and living room, full bathroom. The apartment is above our attached garage in our home (attached) and can sleep up to 4 people: The bedroom has a queen bed, there are 2 twin mattresses with easily set-up/folding frames that can be quickly set up in the living room (they could also fit in the bedroom, but it would be tight), and there is a very comfortable couch.
The lake is a great kayaking and fishing lake (both summer and winter) and is connected via a channel (2 minute boat ride) to a deeper lake used for skiing/tubing/swimming. In the winter, you can keep an eye on your tip-ups while watching the game on the large screen TV inside! There is a large ice fishing community on the lake all winter.
The apartment is accessible through a spiral staircase in the backyard which is the point of entry for the guests. We have a fence going to the backyard that the guests will walk through to get to the staircase/apartment. Please note the property is on the 2nd floor of our home, and any guests must be able to climb stairs.

Guests will have access to 2 parking spaces front to back in the driveway, and there is plenty of street parking available. The guests will have full access to the fully fenced-in yard, the pier, 2 kayaks, a 4-person paddle/pedal boat, a fire pit (guests to provide their own wood), grill, the patio and patio furniture.

We will be highly accessible to guests. One of us usually works from home. We may be out at times at kids' sporting events in the evenings and on the weekends, but we will be accessible during those times (and at all times) via the messaging system in Airbnb. We love interacting with people and will interact as much or as little as you like. We leave that preference up to the guests. Our default is to give you your peace and quiet.
Otros aspectos destacables
We do have 2 large Newfoundland dogs. They do not have access to the apartment as they never figured out how to go up staircases :) They are very friendly, however, for theirs and the guests' safety, we have a separated portion of the yard for them to use. We ask that the guests only interact with the dogs when we are present unless permitted otherwise.
Please note, the pier is taken out of the water typically in October and stays out until approximately April/May (depending on the weather and when the lake melts). Also, in the fall, you may hear gun shots across the lake as fall is hunting season for water fowl.
+ Guests are permitted to bring up to two well-behaved and well-trained dogs. We require that a guest be outside when the dog is outside. Please note that the dog must be able to walk (or be carried) up/down a spiral staircase. If you are bringing a dog, please let us know ahead of time. We ask that the guest pick up after their dog.
+ Guests are not to invite non-registered guests over without the hosts' permission. No parties please.
+ No Smoking Permitted Inside the Apt or at the top of the spiral staircase leading into the apartment - Guests may smoke on the patio and in the yard. We ask that you dispose of your cigarette butts in a trash can.
+ No illegal drug use or any other illegal activity permitted on the property. Guests will be asked to leave immediately and without refund for illegal acts.
+ We live in a neighborhood and ask that the guests keep the noise to a reasonable level to be considerate of everyone. Our children reside in the home and thus ask that our guests keep alcohol use and language to a level that is conducive to a family home and neighborhood.
+ Good communication is key! We are usually able to honor your requests!
+ Guests are allowed to stay up to a MAX of 29 days.
+ Minimum 2 night stay.
