Two beds at the finished, nice basement.
I had a great stay at April's. April is super sweet and works really hard to make sure you're comfortable. Handful of things you should know about her place: -- Her house feels very quiet and secluded even though it's nestled between two other houses. -- It's easy to miss her street because it's right next to a circle drive to another property. I turned into the circle drive a couple times! The street looks more like a driveway, so keep an eye out for it. --She leaves the back door open for you, which is really useful if you have an unpredictable schedule like I did. -- Her family lives there too, so don't be surprised if you hear other people in the house. Her family is really respectful of your space. On that note, sound travels pretty easily through the walls and doors. That didn't bother me at all, but I know silence is important to some others. -- If you stay during the school year, then you'll hear the family getting ready in the morning. -- She's right down the street from a gas station, and she's super close to the Interstate that takes you into Burlington and Boston. -- I paid ~$50 to Uber (solo) to the airport, and about $25 to get to downtown (carpool). Really enjoyed my stay. Thank you, April! Jay
This place was horrible! The sheets were disgusting dirty. The pillows were sticky. The blankets were dirty. My crew had to purchase all new linens. One member was bitten all over his back and shoulders. The towels were dirty and had an awful smell. There was absolutely no closet space, drawer space, and a lack of toilet paper. There was no use of the kitchen even though that was the main picture used to show off the place. There was no refrigeration or microwave provided. Their son was constantly cursing. Their young girl was walking around half naked in booty shorts. They were rude telling my crew "Now go up to your room". There was no working television. It was a small attic with no air so the heat was oppressive. There was no privacy. Upon their return from work the doors were open. The carpet in the house was very dirty yet they were forced to walk barefoot with no sandals provided. All the shelves were full so there was no space to put anything. They lived out of their suitcases. The many shelves were very dirty and dusty. The only reason they had to stay there for two days an dnights was because of our emergency work. The first night they came in late from Los Angeles. They had to work 16 hour days to build two dance studios. As company president I was finally able to get us another more expensive hotel room a few miles away. I have pictures to document all of the above and my crew is available to speak. April's home is two stories and a basement. The upper levels are beautiful hardwood. There's a boot bench on the porch and guests are asked to avail themselves of house slippers. Some are provided, but I brought my own. It was a pleasant surprise, as I prefer this style of living myself, Bathroom was spotless and the bed comfortably firm. My room had no AC, but with three windows and several fans, none was needed, even in July. The house is set back a bit from the main thoroughfare; surrounded by trees, quiet and tranquil. The location was very convenient to my place of work, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I'll definitely tag April again should I need temporary lodging here in the future.
