This 4-star resort and spa is in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, 10 minutes from downtown. It has 2 championship golf courses, a luxury spa and wellness center and a pay per use waterpark. These are timeshare units that are part of the Holiday Inn Vacation Club and are not part of the Grand Geneva hotel although they are around a 100 yards away and walking distance or short tram ride from the hotel.

Prices do not include resort fee of $36 for 1br or $72 for 2 br.

The resort has everything from indoor waterpark to live entertainment, downhill skiing, fantastic dining and a short trip to a awesome relaxing town of Lake Genevea. Less than an hour to Six Flags Great America amusement park and an hour to Milwaukee with all it has to offer. The prices quoted are for the 1 br 1 bath standard condo. There is also a 1 bedroom 1 bath whirlpool suite condo that has a whirlpool tub. The price for that is $20/night more than the standard. I also have a 2 br 2 bth unit which is the standard and whirlpool units connected and has 2 kitchens. Nightly price for that would be the combined price of the standard and whirlpool combined.

I am not on premise and entire condo will be my guests and party to enjoy to themselves. I have access to a 1 bedroom 1 bath standard with full kitchen, 1 bedroom 1 bath whirlpool deluxe with full kitchen and 2 bedroom 2 bath with 2 kitchen units(consists of a standard and whirlpool unit connected). Prices vary by size and season. Price on listing is for the base 1 br 1 bath standard.

Otros aspectos destacables

The Timeshare condos I am renting are part of the Holiday Inn Club Vacations and I am an owner in that club. The condos, while in near proximity to the Grand Geneva, are not connected to or associated with the hotel. Guests have free use of the indoor and outdoor pool at the hotel, but dining and other activies like dining, down hill skiing, waterpark are additional costs.

I was very happy with William's service. He answered all my questions and everything was as described, making this first time AirBnB customer a repeat one! Not only do you have full access to all the amenities on site, but you also have access to a small pool just outside this condo area. It's a short walk up a slight incline, about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the main lodge. There is a trolley service that will pick you up at your door and take you to any part of the resort with about 20 minutes notice. I decided to drive each time since there is free valet service as well as plenty of free parking at the main lodge. The only downside was that for my condo the master bedroom was right when you opened the door and you had to walk through it to access the rest of the condo. Not a huge deal for me and my friends but if people want privacy it was a little hard to get with people coming and going. It definitely wouldn't stop me from booking again!

The host holds his place out as his condo at the Grand Geneva Resort. It is neither. Although he identifies it at the Grand Geneva Resort - it is not. It apparently a timeshare at a Holiday Inn facility nearby. He never identified it as such. Upon checking out it was discovered we were booked in to the Grand Geneva, not his place at the Holiday Inn and were being charged about double his place through the AIrBNB booking. We had no idea we were even in the wrong place; we never set foot in his place or the Holiday Inn property, because of his lack of communication on the location and how to check in. He was extremely difficult to get a hold off upon our checking out. He would not come to the property to try to work things out and only was, with difficulty, somewhat available by phone. He simply blamed any fix up on the Gran Geneva and he took and continues to take no responsibility whatsoever.

My rental is at the Grand Geneva in the condos as stated in my listing and described in the multiple conversations I and the customer had during the booking process. The condos are about 200 feet from the hotel so to say they are nearby is correct and all guests have access to the hotel premises including the pools, indoor and out, plus have access to the condo pool area so it is part of the Grand Geneva. I was on vacation myself at the time of the customer's checkout so could not be on premise but did call both the resort and my customer within an hour of getting the first call and made multiple calls afterwards to both my customer and the resort trying to help. My being at the resort would not have helped because of the following: My customer apparently ,from speaking with resort managers Jesse and Ashley, both on the day of checkout and very recently, had an existing reservation at the hotel booked several months prior to arrival that had not been cancelled and the front desk booked them into that room. My condo also had the customers name, so had the other reservation not existed, they would have been checked into my condo. I am not allowed to participate in a transaction between a private party and a reservation made with the hotel so I can not help. My customer's story has been that the front desk person appeared to be very confused and upon hearing this sites name gave them a room belonging to a legal organization having a seminar on property. I, believing my customer, sent multiple followup messages asking the status only to be told that the resort would not produce a copy of his hotel reservation and that they reduced the price of the stay at the hotel which he paid. Again, I am not allowed to interact with a transaction between the hotel and private party so can not get more information. I do question why my customer would not challenge the charge with his credit card if it is a mixup with reservations and not truly a hotel reservation that he had forgot to cancel. I can see why he did book my unit as my condo is bigger and had a much better rate. So my customer is correct in my not taking responsibility because it is not something I caused or I can help with then or now . I can only hope that my customer remembers in the future to cancel reservations that will not be used so this does not happen again.

Resort has check in staff and maintenance to handle any need you might have when at the resort. If there are any issues with the condo, you should immediately contact the reservation desk to report the issue and they will send out staff to address it.

Family man who loves to travel and loves to help others do the same. I focus mainly on Wisconsin Vacations but do take requests from friends to go other places. Greatly enjoy the outdoors and at home working in my backyard orchard/vinyard/garden.
