The Jaques house was once a carriage house / barn in the mid-1800's for the home next door. It was turned into a house in 1870 by Edward Porter Jaques and his wife Sarah. He was a local Cooper from Connecticut who had a business Building barrels and buckets for agriculture and the Maple industry. Riddled with termites, and nearly falling down, Jim & Jill renovated it in 2015. You can still see one of the exposed Hand-hewn beams in the kitchen and dining room area.
