Gerald was a very kind and gracious host. He's very easy to talk to and answered all of our questions regarding the room. He also speaks fluent English, French, German, and maybe more. He accommodated for a luggage storage request the day before which was extremely helpful, but I would say to get this cleared with him prior to your stay. If you speak to reception (Ms.Alda) before speaking to Gerald for whatever reason, you may have a little trouble as she doesn't speak English very well, but I believe Gerald can handle this very quickly with a phone call or airbnb SMS.
The apartment complex is nice. The exteriors of the building have not changed and the doors still use metal turnkeys from old times, but the interiors were renovated to a more modern style.
We stayed in room 1, which was nice as it had a small fridge, microwave, hot water boiler, and a cute set of small speakers. The bed was very comfortable, but it was slightly hard to sleep at night because the room would get stuffy and if you opened the windows you could hear passerbys on the street if they walked past.
Bathroom was also very modern, and while it is private (only you have the key for it), it is separated on another floor which may be unexpected. It was stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
All in all this was a great room to stay in and I would stay again!
