Thank-you for your feedback Stefano. We really appreciate it. All feedback is good and naturally every person's experience will be different.
I'm not sure what happened at your end with the electricity and wifi as all of our listings clearly state utilities are an added cost. The charges are not hidden nor are they in any fine print. I didn't receive any confirmed information from you to the contrary, only what you told me, but we waived the fee anyways as a good will gesture. The same for the electricity, we did ask for a deposit as the security deposit that Airbnb takes from you is for damage and loss but not for your use of utilities. Based on your "lack of funds" we waived the deposit and you agreed to pay the electricity upon departure, which turned out to be less than $20USD for 10 days stay. These are not commercial hotel rooms, they are private residences and utilities are always extra with any of our properties unless you have a written agreement otherwise and we can't do that unless you have a direct arrangement with us that does NOT involve AIRBNB. Despite that, we still picked up the tab for your electricity usage. We always offer transportation as an added service especially for those that wish to arrive safely with a person they have already made a connection with. Normally those people that speak the countries language as yourself, find their own way without difficulty and sometimes for a lower price, particularly as taxis are on standby and work for a company that is paying them to wait. (I have also been told people pay much more than $35 with a taxi so I guess it was your good negotiating skills that got you a good rate). Unfortunately, this is not the case for us and we often wait for up to 2 hours for people when the airport is busy. This is all part of our service to customers who are usually quite happy to have someone they can trust meet them there. We have not had anyone tell us that the cost is too high and most book a return trip with us as well. Anyone in need will always be welcomed with a discount when possible or another option they can use.
More free shuttles would be great but as you know nothing is really free so in order to keep prices reasonable for everyone I don't foresee any major changes in shuttle services in the near future. This in fact is a huge expense that owners of the apartments pay as a benefit to assist travelers more so than the owners. Most owners have their own transportation. Then again public transportation here is so cheap it's almost free and available right outside the main gate!
Thanks, once again for your feedback and we will definitely look at improving anything we have control over. We look forward to your next booking and wish you well.
