It is a tiny unattached house with large shady trees on a large property. It is 1 /2 a mile to the desert and 1 mile from downtown. The best of both worlds.

Otros aspectos destacables

It is a wonderful place because it is right next to downtown and yet quiet and peaceful. I love how close it is to the desert. "A" Mountain, a.k.a Sentinel Peak is 1/2 a block over and can be driven, walked or biked. It is an old established neighborhood with lots of diversity. There are very few houses that look alike. Also, on the 4th of July, you can watch the City of Tucson fireworks from A mountain. It's a perfect view. The Sunday after Halloween has a large All Souls Procession that ends 5 blocks away at the Mercado San Augustin. There are two great restaurants at the Mercado. The streetcar is right next to the Mercado, so you can easily get to downtown or UA. UA has some nice museums as well.

We had planned a quick weekend trip to Tucson to attend the Tucson Festival of Books & in searching for somewhere to stay that would be a great value and centrally located, we lucked out, as Elizabeth's little "compound" of casitas were the perfect answer! Her property is centrally located, only 4 blocks from the Mercado, home to amazing coffee (Presta), the best Mexican pastries (La Estrella) and incredible Mexican food (Seis Kitchen) in Menlo Park & we were able to take the street car from there to the U of A campus. Her place is perfect if you are looking for somewhere quiet, clean, comfortable & you can leave your car parked the entire visit to Tucson, as you can see most of downtown Tucson and the U of A area via the streetcar! Elizabeth was excellent with communication and arriving at the casita to meet us and explain everything. The casita is a perfect size for a couple. Super clean and so bright, with everything you'd need for your time away. You will not need anything, as she provided everything for an amazing stay. Thank you, Elizabeth for everything! Sorry we didn't get to see you again before we left. We will certainly be back. :-)

The neighborhood was rustic and very quiet. There is a nice automatic gate. Elizabeth is very nice, warm, friendly, and welcoming.

Small house was nice for a solo stay. I would personally consider a larger place if booking for 2 adult as it might be a bit cramped. Liked having a gate to park off of the street. The lot is nice and has a view of the mountain, but there is a fair amount of clutter and the yard(weeds) could use some upkeep. My dog enjoyed being able to roam around while I sat outside.

We spent 2-1/2 weeks in one of Elizabeth's "tiny houses" in January, 2017. Her location is fairly centrally located in the Menlo Park district of Tucson, just north of "A-mountain." We were an easy walk to the bus, the trolley station, and, with only a few more minutes walking, to the old Presidio and downtown. I would describe the lot and the immediate neighborhood as "rustic." It's actually an historic early neighborhood from old Tucson, and accordingly, is not as "upscale" as some parts of town. By the same token, we had NO problems in it at all, and minimal to no concern about walking there, even in the evening. The "tiny house" is certainly tiny, but equipped with all that you'd want for an extended stay - even a gas barbecue, which we used several times. Television and Internet worked well, the couch and bed were comfy, and the hot water was endless and hot (the way I like it!) The entire lot is fenced, with a remote-controlled drive in gate, and a locked walk-in gate. Feels very secure, and very private - even with the occupants of the other tiny houses on the lot. We had our 50 lb wirehaired pointing griffon with us, and were thrilled to find this sort of pet-friendly home where she could stay with us. Elizabeth! Our hostess was there to meet us, to see us off, and whenever else we had any questions or needed guidance. She was exceptionally easy to deal with, very focused on ensuring that everything about our stay went well. She made herself immediately available by text, phone, or email, and was very responsive. I loved dealing with her, and would have no hesitation in recommending her property to anyone.

The Tiny House in Menlo Park was perfect! It more than suited our needs for the duration of our stay. Elizabeth is a warm gracious host and she made sure we had all we needed. We'd definitely be in touch with Elizabeth the next time we visit Tucson.

I have lived in Arizona most of my life. I love the desert, the mountains and plants. I am a horticulturalist. As your host, I would hope to make you feel welcomed to Tucson. I can offer information if you want it and let you enjoy the space on your own. When I travel I would hope for the same from my hosts. I am also a realtor if you are interested in learning more about Tucson real estate I am happy to help.
