I stayed 2 weeks at Tony's place and it was perfect.
Communication with Tony was very easy and efficient, he looked very well after us, making sure nothing was missing.
Tony's place is very well equipped, with all appliances, kitchenware, and anything you need for a comfortable stay. Tony's house is on top of that in excellent condition and nicely decorated.
It is very well located, both the swimming pool and the beach are absurdly close, a matter of seconds, you can not dream of better :-) And both are supervised by a lifeguard. The beach is sandy and there are some others, larger, if you go north by walking a few more minutes. Kids will also find playing areas on these beaches.
The flat being on the ground floor, you actually have the feeling you're in a house with its garden at the door of your living room, it's very pleasant.
The complex is mainly populated by families, many of them Spanish with of course some French families due to the proximity of France and also a few British and German families. It's living with kids playing around all day but not disturbing if you're not looking for the complete silence. It anyway gets very quiet between 11.30 pm and 10.00 am.
There's a supermarket around the corner and a few restaurants, a larger supermarket (Consum) is at 10 minutes by car. The city centre is also at 10 minutes but you can also get there by walking along the shore in about 20 minutes. It's a safe and very nice walk.
You can find over there anything wanted : pharmacy, doctors, bars, restaurants...and ice cream of course, I recommend Jijonenca in Alcossebre.
On cloudy days I had the opportunity to visit Xivert Castle, or rather its ruins dating from the Templars time, located in a natural park nearby. It is in the middle of low mountains and the views are breathtaking. I strongly advise that place for those who love nature, it is also possible I think to trek and bike. Another nice spot was Peniscola, with its castle (also built by Templar Knights, in very good condition that one) overseeing the sea, the bay, the surrounding mountains and the small typical streets of the city.
I have rented houses around the world for many years including in Spain and Tony's place ranks very high, I strongly recommend it for peaceful family holidays.
